Edward Bruce - the only remaining brother of King Robert in 1314, is said to be a bold and reckless man in a brutal manner and he also joined the Bannockburn battle under the leadership of his brother, he is of a trusted subordinate. In 1318 he (Edward Bruce) left for Irland and declared himself the "king of Ireland" his adventure ended when he was defeated and killed at the Battle of Dundalk in County Louth. Thomas Randolph is the grandson of Robert Bruce and one of his earliest supporters. He was arrested by the British and served them until 1301 when he rejoined Bruce's forces. His loyalty and subsequent service was rewarded by Count Morav's territory in 1313. He led one of three Scottish schiltron teams at Bannockburn.
