The Osman I dynasty marked the official beginning of Ottoman rule which lasted for six centuries. By 1265 Sogut-city of Byzantine fell to Osman I. My son is my baby today tomorrow shirt . During the reign of Orhan, the Ottoman Empire was organized into a real state with a new currency, modernized government and army. Orhan married Theodora, the daughter of Byzantine-John VI Cantacuzenus. In 1346, Orhan publicly supported John VI in overthrowing Emperor John V Palaeologus. When John VI became emperor (1347-1354), he allowed Orhan to attack the Gallipoli peninsula where the Ottoman Empire had obtained their first city in Europe. Orhan decided to pursue the war against Europe, the Turks of Anatolia were settled in and around the Gallipoli region to ensure that the region would become a springboard for military activities in Thrace against the Byzantines and Bulgaria.
